TLD provides a large number of recognised data collection methods. We plan the data collection based on the clients requirements and deliver the information in an agreed spreadsheet format.
Turning Movement Counts: A survey of the type and direction of vehicles entering an intersection.
Manual Classification Counts: A survey of the types of vehicles on a roadway segment distinguishing between passenger cars, buses, various trucks sizes and other classifications that a client may require.
Gap Counts: A survey determining the amount of time in seconds between the end of one vehicle and the beginning of the next at an intersection approach or segment of roadway.
Intersection Delay Counts: A survey measuring the amount of delay or queue of vehicles approaching an intersection controlled by a signal or stop sign. Also includes queue lengths at pre-set time periods.
Spot Speed Counts: A survey measuring the speeds of vehicles at a particular location, usually approaching an intersection.
Travel Time Counts: A survey measuring the amount of time to travel a segment of roadway, recording at specified points along the way and different types of delay. This survey is collected with a vehicle equipped with GPS equipment.
Saturation Flow Rate Counts: A survey measuring vehicle headway, lost times and arrival types to a signalised intersection during signal phases.
Occupancy Counts: A survey measuring the number of occupants in vehicles on a segment of roadway.
Origin-Destination Counts: A survey identifying vehicles by their licence tag or type of vehicle at several entrances or exits of a defined study area, usually for determining cut through traffic. Recorded on Digital Cameras and reviewed either manually or by computer. Results are provided in spreadsheet format.
Pedestrian Counts: A survey measuring the amount of pedestrian traffic coming and going at a particular location.
Parking Lot Counts: A survey of vehicles occupying parking spaces during a given time period or inventory of existing parking spaces according to type.
Video Applications: An analog or digital recording of traffic or parking activity at specified times.
TLD can also acquire at the clients request SCATS input files and output files such as IDM, SM, VS and any other industry accepted data source. |
